The 13 Colonies . . .then and now
INTRODUCTION:
The United States started out as 13 colonies along the Atlantic Coast of North America. These colonies were controlled by the English (or British). The original 13 colonies were founded in the 1600s and 1700s, starting with Virginia and ending with Georgia. Thus a new nation is formed when thirteen British colonies revolted against British rule and formed their own nation. You and class mates are given an opportunity to visit these old colonial towns.
